School Visits
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM MEL’S EVENTS:
Mel’s event consists of a 45-minute assembly (for children aged 7-11), which includes a presentation on her unusual journey to publication (which took 15 years!), the importance of perseverance, the power of spreading cheer, a Q&A and more. It’s interactive, lots of fun, and aims to inspire, educate and entertain every student, whether they’re a reluctant writer or aspiring author.
After the assembly, Mel can sign books, and she can help promote her visit by providing posters, event letter templates, an extract from ‘The Christmas Carrolls’ and a short video to introduce herself to students.
HOW TO BOOK AN EVENT & FEES:
Events can be booked at any time of year. Although ‘The Christmas Carrolls’ is classed as a Christmas book, Mel’s event focuses on the magic of writing, how to become a published author, the importance of perseverance and the power of spreading cheer. The book is also set in September during a heatwave, so the story isn’t just for Christmas!
After the assembly, Mel can sign books, and she can help promote her visit by providing posters, event letter templates, an extract from ‘The Christmas Carrolls’ and a short video to introduce herself to students.
